Storytelling Through Sound
A Bit About Me

I'm Henry Ley, a Sound Engineer from Buckinghamshire, South East England.

      I started playing guitar when I was 5 and I honestly can't remember a time I wasn't making too much noise!

      From an early age I was immersed in acting and performance, from musical theatre to poetry reading. Aged 15 I started a few radio stations including

my school's and began recording myself, local bands and

anything I could get my ears on.

      I had always been a student of film, but it was not until my

early 20's that I married my love of sound and moving picture

when I began working in post-sound on short films where

built an understanding of storytelling with audio. Now I'm lucky

enough to split my time working on a huge variety of content;

from documentaries, feature films and TV to corporate ads and

charity spots, as well as live music and of course, short film.

      A few years ago, my seemingly disparate interests and skills in sound melted surreptitiously together when an actor-friend asked me to design him a Voice Over Reel. As soon as I tried it, I was hooked and now I dedicate my studio to working with voice-over artists around the world to hone their recording process and produce a variety of exciting reels to sell their wonderful talent.

If you have a story to tell; recording, editing or mixing,

I'm your one-stop shop, so don't hesitate to get in touch...
